Trade show promotional gifts: it's all about image!
from: If you're taking your company to a trade show in the near future, it's important to make sure that you've got your image right. After all, trade shows are the best opportunity you'll have to meet other major players in your industry face to face - whether it's future business partners, existing customers or your fiercest competitors. Trade show giveaways might represent a substantial extra cost; but, when used correctly, the right combination of promotional gifts and items emblazoned with your logo can work wonders for your brand. When at a trade show, it's important to remember that you're competing for the attention span of all attending delegates. This means that you need to make sure you have promotional giveaways that will attract attention and get people talking about your name. What's more, since you've paid for the opportunity to expose your brand to your industry, you also need to project the best image possible. As a result, when choosing promotional gifts, approach with a mixture of professionalism and healthy, constructive fun.
The most popular promotional items on offer at trade shows include pens, lanyards, tote bags and a range of other desktop and miscellaneous items. However, it's important to choose promotional items for which your delegates will be clamouring, if you want to make a big impact. For instance, if you're in the retail industry and are planning to attend a trade show with other leading retail companies, you'll expect to be confronted by a mix of peers and professionals. Attendees of this sort of trade show will appreciate office items, like mouse mats, mobile phone holders and interesting computer accessories.
Alternatively, if you're scheduled to appear at a student trade fair or a university careers fair, you might want to opt for a slightly different approach. Here, you may be more inclined to give away promotional badges, balloons, fridge-magnets, yo-yos or puzzles and games. But whatever promotional gifts you decide upon, make sure you get your branding right in order to make a big impact with the right people!
What's more, giving away promotional items at trade shows allows you to push the boat out a bit! Think outside the box and you'll find your company's stand attracting visitors-a-plenty. For example, if you're appearing at a trade show in London and you're expecting many delegates from outside the UK, corporate umbrellas or logo-branded cagoules are sure to make a memorable splash with guests unprepared for Britain's inclement weather patterns! Or, if your trade show takes place in the summertime, hand out some promotional Frisbees or boomerangs - you're sure to attract people to your stall in their droves!
Ultimately, if you're stuck for ideas or you've left your trade show giveaway plans until the last minute, confectionary and corporate pens are sure to go down a treat! Simply make sure your image is presented in the right way and your trade show appearance will be a sure-fire hit.
