Hanging Signs and Hanging Fabric Structures for Trade Shows
By Andy Keeler
Many large conventions or conferences pack exhibit halls with thousands of exhibitors and attendees. It can be difficult to distinguish yourself in such a large crowd, but hanging signs are a great way to draw attention to your booth from a distance at a large trade show. A well designed hanging sign works like a magnet to attract visitors to your booth area because it can be seen from all the way across the trade show floor at even the largest exhibit halls.
Many trade shows have strict regulations regarding hanging signs. Many shows place restrictions on the size and weight your hanging sign can be, while others place restrictions on what type of hardware can be used to hang the signs from the ceiling. Due to the danger that hanging signs often present, many trade shows avoid the situation by not allowing any exhibit material to be suspended from the ceiling. Be sure to check with the specific trade show you are attending before planning to purchase a hanging sign or hanging fabric structure.
Hanging signs and other hanging fabric structures are usually made from lightweight aluminum with tension fabric stretched around the frame. This allows your company name and logo to be hung high above the trade show floor. Because the aluminum frames come in many available configurations, you can design hanging structures that are modeled after the shapes your company uses. For instance if your company sells shoes, it would not be terribly difficult to create a hanging structure in the shape of a shoe.
