Trade Show Graphics Care Instructions
By Andy Keeler

Cleaning your Graphics

It is important to remove any dirt or fingerprint smudges from your graphics periodically to keep them looking their best. These smudges may not be terribly obvious under normal conditions, but when placed under harsh trade show lights, your trade show graphics will show even the slightest dirt spots. Follow these steps to safely clean your graphics:

1. Lay your graphic on a clean, flat surface with the image facing upward.

2. Spray your graphic lightly with a mild cleaner (Windex is a good example). Many companies that specialize in graphic production use a highly diluted form of Simple Green (twenty parts water to one part Simple Green) to clean their graphics in house. Avoid spraying near the edge of your graphics. The solution could seep between the layers of laminate and ruin your graphic, especially if your print is a light color.

3. Using a paper towel or dry cloth, wipe your graphics clean until the liquid has evaporated.

Storing your Graphics

After cleaning your graphics, carefully slide them back into the plastic sleeves in which they were originally shipped. Roll each graphic individually and place them in your box or case. Do not roll your graphics together, as it will be more difficult to remove the graphics without damaging them.

Replacing your Graphics

It is important to change your trade show graphics regularly to avoid boring your visitors with the same trade show booth year after year. The people who attend trade shows will expect fresh information, so give them what they want and you will not be disappointed with the results.

At Tradeshowdirect, we specialize in providing high-quality trade show displays and booths to our customers across North America. Check out our trade show articles for more information about trade shows and displays.
